Kilted Life : the Photo Group

A picture is worth a thousand words, so 10,000+ pictures is well over the number of words i could fit into this post about kilt wearing.

BananaPeelz Review : When nothing won't do.

Towards the end of the kilt wearing season last year, i linked up with the nice folks over at BananaPeelz.com. They had seen the comic mentioning their product and enjoyed the good press and good comic :)

After some chatting they happily offered two Banana Peelz to pantlessatwork for us to review. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate after i got them in the mail so they sat there un-reviewed.

Luckily kilt season is once again upon us!
(yes i know you "can" wear one all year long, but i'm just not that type. You can wear a snow jacket all year long. It doesn't mean you should ;) )

So for the first kilt day i figured what better way to start the season off than with the Banana Peelz review.

The two that i got were:
The black mesh banana peelz:

And the black and white viper:

It takes a little getting used to wearing, but should be in any kilt wearers arsenal. Yes wearing a Banana Peelz is not the traditional way to wear a kilt, but it definitely has its time and place.

Wearing the Banana Peelz gives you a peace of mind when dealing with wind/stair cases/rain/puddles/desks without modesty panels/etc..

It's the type of thing that is comfortable to wear and you don't even notice it's there.

The only downside i noticed while reviewing it on a longer trip was that it doesn't have a zipper(probably a good thing though). Which makes bio breaks a slight bit trickier.

Overall I'd give them 4 out of 5 stars and for the price of $10 you can't pass it up. The only reason they get 4 stars and not 5 stars is because when it comes to a kilt nothing beats nothing.

Thanks again to the Team at bananapeelz.com for the chance to review your product!

Kilt Season is here!

The last week or so its been raining like crazy. Not quite kilt weather to say the least. With a little luck from the Irish, St. Patrick's day will be the official start of Kilt Season 2010.

I'm going to shake the dust off the site after the long winters nap, and get back to our regularly scheduled program.

Stay tuned for all the great stuff we have in the works.

As part of the kick off this month we will have a review of the generously donated peelz from bananapeelz.com. These peelz aren't just for tanning anymore!

We are also working on a few more comics to continue the series. We'll get those up as soon as we can.

Till the next time, get those Kilts pressed and ready to go!
Kilt Season is here again!

Kiltman Comic : Episode 2

And with no further waiting, here is the next episode of The Kiltman comic.

Kiltman : Epsisode 2

Kiltman Comic : Episode 1

So after a large survey and intense psychoanalysis of the comic strips name we decided to change it to just Kiltman, or Kiltman Comics. Since we aren't actually against Pantman or his friends, it seems more synergenical. (is that even a word?)

So with no further ado, i give you the first version of Kiltman

Kiltman : Epsisode 1

Another Kilted day gone by and a toddler kilt on its way

Today turned out to be a beautiful day in Boston, which meant a great kilt day.

The day started out well. Didn't even have my morning coffee yet, and i was already receiving compliments on the kilt.

"I'm loving the kilt" said a nice lady at Dunkin Dounts.
Thanks you nice lady for the compliment! you made my morning :)

At lunch i was thinking about getting the little guy a kilt, not only because its cool and really cute, but should aid in the potty training as well.
To me, a kilted toddler running around the house is a little easier to deal with than a naked one(at least that is the theory,we'll see how it is in practice).

I'm looking at picking up a toddler kilt from the guys over at SportKilt.com

Sportkilt.com : Ramsey Tartan

I got approval to order the Ramsey Tartan. So we'll definitely get pictures and a review online as soon as that comes in.

As for the next issue of Kiltman vs. Pantman, hang in there. Dan over at Circlecomics.com is cooking up a great redraw of the first episode as well as the new second episode.

If you haven't seen Dan's work you should check out his comics:
The Stickman Dailies and The Stickman Comic

Day Three of being Kilted at work

Today is the third day wearing the kilt at work. By this time everyone at work is used to it. Still getting the random double take in the lobby and on the commute, but overall the reaction has been pretty positive.

Today's the first day Adam (Landrysplace.com) had a chance to wear his to work.

So far that is two techies that have jumped on the Kilt band wagon. We'll see if the rising summer heat converts anyone else.

On an un-related note, i have teamed up with Dan Larson from Circle Comics and will be redoing the first comic of KvP and using his Artistic abilities moving forward. We are probably looking at a bi monthly release of the comic, but the quality bar should be raised by well over 300%

Look forward to next weeks rerun of KvP.

First Work Day in the Kilt

Today is the first full work day in the kilt.
So far things are going well.

I haven't had any wardrobe malfunctions or kilt checks.

I did find out that turning fast in a kilt is a no no.
So don't do that in public unless you want to show off whatever you got under that kilt ;)

I feel bad about sitting on my nice ironed pleats all day, but it is very cool in the office for me today :)

We'll see how the trip home goes.

First Pictures of the Kilt!!!!

I finally got my first kilt today!

I have to say its incredibly comfortable.
The guys over at Utilikilts.com definitely know how to make a kilt.

I'll give you all a sneak peak of tomorrows outfit.
